New beginnings and ending 2024 with support of our community.

2024 has been an impressive year for ostomiesawareness.com. I would like to thank everyone who supported my vision and our organization throughout 2024. We were able to bring awareness through our communities and celebrate ostomy awareness day with our fellow ostomates, family and friends. 

Having people in your life that would help assist you with achieving your goals will be beneficial. Finding support groups and having a care team will help you get through the process of living with a new norm. I can say it is not easy, I have learned so much and I’m still learning throughout this journey. Mapping out a guideline in the beginning kept me going as I believed in myself, and the process made it easy.

Stay strong no matter how difficult the circumstances (it is hard but doable) Do not give up, keep pushing through those bad days. Soon the good days will outweigh the bad. Continue to be humble and believe each day will get better than the last.
